STD Panel

The STD Panel offers comprehensive screening for common sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, Syphilis, Herpes Simplex Virus, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and Trichomoniasis. This panel helps in the early detection, diagnosis, and management of STDs to prevent complications and transmission.

The STD Panel analyzes conditions and symptoms associated with common sexually transmitted diseases. These include:

  • Genital and oral sores
  • Genital discharge
  • Pelvic pain
  • Burning sensation during urination
  • Rashes
  • Mucous membrane lesions
  • Latent infections that may lead to neurological and cardiovascular complications

 

Specifically, it screens for active Hepatitis B and C infections, acute and chronic HIV infection, and syphilis. It also detects antibodies indicating past or present infections of Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 and 2. The panel identifies asymptomatic and symptomatic infections caused by Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and Trichomoniasis, helping in early diagnosis and prevention of disease transmission and complications.
